Vanessa also managed private child care centers all over the country for 5 years.

During her collegiate career, Vanessa earned a Bachelor of Education degree, Graduate Diploma in Education, and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Writing from the University of Pretoria. She also serves as a Justice of the Peace and is a member of the Queensland Justices Association. Additionally, Vanessa is a rehabilitation and return to work coordinator.
